The kind of buzz I’m talking about doesn’t come from bees. The kind of energy I’m talking about doesn’t come from wind farms (which are really intimidating to drive next to, by the way).

I’m the new guy at Reap. My wife and I are fresh off a three-month European adventure which we blogged about at Here, There and Elsewhere.

I had a couple of options when I started looking for a new gig, but there was something in the atmosphere at Reap that drew me in. I’ve been a part of starting several different ventures and love the buzz and energy that surrounds a new and growing company. That is exactly what I found at Reap. I really had no choice but to show up to the party a little early, now did I?

For starters, successful companies are typically led really well. Reap has really set itself up for long term success by hiring the right people at the right time and taking calculated risks with business development. Hopefully, I don’t screw up that flow. They also let their people create and trust them to do their thing. That’s quite refreshing.

It also helps that they have a ton of rad clients ranging from doing things like vehicle wraps and fleet graphics to luxury real estate near San Antonio, ’cause who doesn’t love them some crazy awesome homes? This guy does.

When you are doing what you love, work shouldn’t feel like… well, work. I’ve only got a week under my belt but I can already tell this is different. I can tell that I’m entering this company right before a huge pop of growth occurs. I’m beyond jazzed to be a part of and contribute to the buzz and energy of Reap. Lets do this!
